First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa yesterday visited women in the Midlands province at a training workshop on detergent making.

Through her Angel of Hope Foundation, Amai Mnangagwa empowered hundreds of women from all walks of life in the detergent making project. The women received starter packs after the training so that they could start generating their own income.

In their own words, the women said life had been hard, with some married ones complaining of ill-treatment by husbands due to their dependence on them for survival. The widowed were also struggling to fend for their families.

The women thanked Amai Mnangagwa for empowering women to change their lives.
