Zanu PF Murewa North legislator who is also the National Housing and Social Amenities Minister Daniel Garwe has donated an assortment of groceries in his constituency to people living with disabilities and the elderly courtesy of a development partner. Speaking during the donation, Cde Garwe said Covid-19 had disrupted living conditions with some losing their jobs and those living with disabilities and the old aged have not been spared. “President Mnangagwa has sent legislators and Cabinet Ministers to assist those in need. We are donating hampers including sugar, soap, flour, salt, matches and buckets.

“We are targeting those living with disabilities and the elderly. We are donating to all wards in Murewa North constituency, beginning with Ward 16. I also liaised with my counterpart from Murewa West to expand that programme to that area and Murewa South to cover it as a district,” he said. JKM Foundation, which partnered Cde Garwe on the donations, said they have been assisting the less privileged across the country.

“Covid-19 disturbed the normal way of life and Murewa people have not been spared. We decided to partner with Cde Garwe in donating groceries targeting the disability, the elderly and women,” said JKM Foundation programmes manager Mr Gift Petro.
